Thankful for SimplyDiscus

I just got home from work and my whole family is sleeping. I came down to check on my discus and began to think about Thanksgiving.

I determined that I am Thankful for much,my family, job, friends, discus etc.

But as I pulled up this forum I truly thought to myself, I AM THANKFUL FOR SIMPLYDISCUS.

So I tried to find ideas to exhibit my thanks. And a donation to ensure the forum will be around was my sole solution.

I donated $50.00. I thought that others may follow. What is it was not here in the future? I figure everyone could donate 5, 10 or even more. Any little bit helps.

This is solely my idea. The owner is not responsible for the post. But just think the forum costs $$$$ to run. Servers, tech support, man hours.

The site is free. No charge. But donations will ensure this resource will be here for the future.

580 users have been on this site today. If everyone donated 5 dollars, the drive would generate just shy of 3,000.00. If we can generate half that by the end of Sunday, November 25, 2012 I will double my donation. Who will too?

This is a great idea. Since I donate on a fair regular basis to the forum and the contest I am in for $20 and I will double this if we meet your goal BUT how are you doing to keep track or does Al need to help with this.

However that format makes donations public. That may discourage donations. However it may increase them as well.

Nice thread. I just donated $20.00. Thank you Simply for everything. I could not have established a great tank setup without you. I would not have been able to keep my wild Cuipeuas healthy without you. When I lost a fish because of a mistake during a WC and thought about giving up, you kept me going. I would not have been able to fulfill my dream of breeding discus without this site. Thank you for everything.

This is a really thougthful thing to do here ... Thanks so much for trying to raise some funds here. And thank you to all those that have contributed both in this drive and thru out the year. I know you are thankful for SimplyDiscus and all it does for you....and I am really thankful as well. Thankful that we have members here that step up to the plate when they can and try to help out. Doesn't matter how much, its all good.

I don't often ask for contributions here maybe a few times during the year.....actually hate doing that...so its just really a cool thing when someone takes it upon themselves to do this..
