Plastic Bins?

Hi all,
Does anyone use pastic Bins to age water? I have a few empty ones laying around id like to use.

Sorry I didnt clarify: By plastic bins I mean regular square/rectangular. Not the 50 gal plastic barrels.

Perfectly safe if you knew they were food safe. If previously used for chemical or not sure. it would be wise to not take any chances.
There has been many "Lesson Learned Stories" thinking it would have been ok just to try.
