Split dorsal fin..What should I do?

As the title says, one of my guys split his dorsal fin trying to "back up" to get away from the tank alpha. He caught one of his spines on the intake tube to my canister. I wouldn't have known this except that I saw it happen. He doesn't really seem to notice it, and it's a relatively small split.

Is there some sort of preventative treatment I should do to guard against infection?

if its small just do daily or water changes every 2 days. 1-2 of my fish gets it like every few months avoiding the alpha fish. Usually takes 2-5 days depending on the tear.

Just clean water and it will recover quickly
