Question about Quartineing?

Im not used to Qt'ing one fish at a time but my question is when buying a single discus is it OK to qt it by itself :confused: I hate leaving my fish in a tank alone. Seems like a silly question but im just curious.

I usually keep some culls to throw in with new fish. Not sure if you have any but just a suggestion.

I have done it with just a single fish before the fish was just fine. Better to be safe then sorry that is for sure
