About 1/3 of my discus have been in the back of the tank for about 2 weeks now.. I was wondering if they were sick or something, as I didn't think they were eating. But then I saw their stomachs looked pretty full from a distance.
I had a nasty algae issue awhile ago and I dumped about 120 shrimp in the tank, red, amano, white, etc..
It got to the point where the shrimp were self sustaining, and the population was increasing..
But I have started to find shrimp minus their heads at the bottom of the tank. And significantly less shrimp running around.. I come up to the discus tank and they don't seem to want to know me anymore. It seems like the discus are in hunt mode all the time.
I am watching them on the webcam right now any they are going to town looking for them.. But if I walk over they hide and act like nothing was going on..
