Well Im excited I just got a shipment of discus from Georgia Some Ring Red Leopard. Never got any that far away before. But they are a lot more resilient than I thought. Well thank you Chad for helping me through this and enjoyed working with you. Now I just have to see how they adapt to their new home. Will post pictures in a day or two.

Well i will take a picture later today. The fish are sure skittish. One jumped out of the tank and I one of my sons put it in a bucket that had cold water, uhg. hope he recovers. Poor thing. They seem really skittish this morning hopefully they will settle down to eat.

Wish I could have gotten better pictures, but they are still a bit skittish after the move cross country. they seem to be doing real well though. doing 100% water changes every night with a little in the morning after giving them beef-heart. They are starting to calm down. Look forward to seeing how they develop, hoping for some with colors and better yet the leopard color like one of the parents. We will see though. Thanks guys. i am happy with them. Will put more pictures up in a month or so when they start to get their color more. Im also getting more PB SS from Drew looking forward to seeing them also.

100% ??

100% ??

Sure, lay the fish down on their sides, thats what I do. LOL Some people start filling when the water reaches the top of the dorsal and keep draining for a minute or so, so the old water gets flushed.

But too much of new water doesn't cause a big change in the water chemistry that might affect the fish?

No, not if you are aging your water. You can change water all day and no change.

Then I have no problems! Thanks Eddie!

Yes as Eddie said, I start filling the tank while emptying it at the end. And yes I have aged water in a barrel. Learned from the people I purchased them from. they have been great teachers. Will post pictures of the the PB SS Im getting from Drew also in a month.

http://youtu.be/jE4_c_ZllpA Well here is my young discus from Chad. They are doing very well and eating like crazy. They finish everything I put in their tank. My camera is not the best quality so sorry about the fuzziness. They seem to be growing very fast pushing 3" . i am getting some more from Drew and Kenny later this month will post them up and hope to combine them all after they have been quarantined for a while. Is there anything else I should before combining them all?

Yah they are growing very fast. They almost all are 3" + now. i change the water every night 90% now cause spreading my water barrel out to more tanks, they are getting big for the tank, will need to move them to something bigger soon. I have a little color in the fins only on a couple. Not sure they will develop the color some of Chads other fish did. But they I am pleased with their shape and color now. they are very healthy.

2 1/2" when i got them and I only had them a little over a
month and they are growing very fast. I think they are at least 3" now after getting Kennys that were 3 1/2" I realized they are just as big.

Hey Diane, I kept a few from that batch and same thing on the color. The bodies should still be solid. Over the next couple of months they'll start to get the pattern on their bodies. You should see a fair amount of pattern on the fins. Glad they are growing well.

[/ATTACH]776257762377623Yah i have two that have some color on the fins, but most of the others are more solid still. Will be hopeful though. Ok I am having difficulties trying to attach pictures, uhg, computers are not my strong suit. Anyways you can see a little color in their fins. Wish my camera took better pictures, someday i will figure this out.

Good luck! You're growing them out really fast. I've never seen someone do it that fast before. Can't wait to see what they look like all grown up! ;)

Had 2 Fire Reds jump out of my tank last night. Dont know how long they were out but they seem to be recovering. One of them was the one with more blue in the fins, uhg. so needless to say got a better lid that has no gaps. So far everyone I got fish from have done well and growing very fast. need to move the Reds to a bigger tank, they are 3 1/2' and there is 9 of them, thinking of putting them in a 35 gallon tank with kens other ones that I got that are 3 1/2" they seem to be the same size, so that will make 13 fish in that tank so will do 90% water changes everyday still. The PB SS are to small they are only 1 " , so hopefully they will get caught up in size in a couple of months. Well will post more pictures when able to and hope to get a better camera in time to.
