Hello all

I have a 60 gallon that's been up and cycled for about 2 months now ...consists of cardinal tetras, clown loaches, pleco. Hoping to soon add my discus - here's my question. If I go with 2.5" - 3" discus fish would I be ok to grow them out in this tank or am I better served to get a smaller tank to grow them out in? Thanks for any input you can give me

Depends on the amount of discus, but I'd say it's fine. You dont mention if it's bare bottom. To really grow-out discus takes alot of water changes and food, hard to keep clean with substrate.

+1, growing young fish out in a community tank can be a challenge but it can be done. There are just more variables working against you.
