Hi,

Why don't you think it's pigeon-based? Have you seen the pigeon snakeskin from Stendker in Germany? http://diskus.vs121046.hl-users.com/gb/ausstellungstiere/PigeonBloodSnake/

Your fish might be a younger version. I'm not saying it is, only that it's the closest match I can find.

I mean the little guy, the other on the first is an Electric Dream.

No pigeon, because the breeder where the fish from had no Pigeon. Is from breeding Oriental Dream.

Electric Dream? Wow, these names are getting very exotic. Next we'll be hearing about the "nuclear bombast volcanic eruption . . ." LOL.

I don't think so. A super red melon is a solid strain and doesn't have snakeskin patterns like this one. It does kinda look like some sort of red melon cross with the red body and yellow face. Maybe a Snakeskin X Red Melon?

The fish isn't solid, see pic.

Hey
could be a hairline snakeskin. typically one of a kind in a batch of fry, one of these come out, in a gray or white colour. They never show the stress bars, and can be used as eliminating the bars in future breeding. most often also a sensitive fish, like golden. Have you seen stress bars? I have only seen these come out of leopard based fish

Was my first thought too. I've had a few over the years and they look just like your do when young. They come from leopard snakeskins.

agree. looks like a barless LSS. usually a pretty rare type out of ordinary LSS spawns. Someone is working on improving the % of this phenotype.

I'm with Toke & Rod fine line LSS should be nice when it matures and good for some selective breeding.
