Yun, there are a herd of sterbai and three whiptail catfish (actually a pleco) and two tetras I have not been able to catch. With these wilds wanting to breed all the time I am learning the value of a discus only tank.

Jeff, my estimate after counting 87 wigglers is 120. That's plenty big enough.

Can we say challenging conditions under which to take pictures. Pictures are dark but you can see the fry. As you can see there is some attachment occurring. Also there is way more fry then you can see in the pictures.

I adjusted the midrange colors and you can see the fry better.

Thanks Paul, these parents are doing a great job with these fry. I was bad for not getting a good seal on the divider and believe that is the reason the fry group is rather small now. There is still enough to bother with however. ;)

Mine is set on ETTL which makes it talk to camera. If fish are too close to flash they wash out. Do u have a diffuser on the flash? If not I would get like a whit styrofoam box and point flash up inside box and have it bounce off the box

Beautiful Discus Pat.Wish I could fit your aquarium in my condo.Guess I'm stuck with my 72 bow.
I have one wild(green) and other four our domesticated.Have to say the wild one is the BOSS in my aquarium.

Since this bad boy got to spend some time alone with all girls he has decided he wants some action now that the divider is out. Those are bite marks on his side. Prior to this this fish was a sissy.

Thanks Marinum, the couple is in a divided 230 (US gallons) biotope tank which gets two/three 40% WCs per week. The tank has nine Cuipeua in the tank with a group of cories and a couple of plecos. The tank has a large sump with poret form for the bio-media. Very simple setup really with a low bio-load. Water makeup is an 2/3 RO to 1/3 tap mix with a target TDS of about 80. Ph 7.2, Kh 4dKH and GH 4dGH.

Mishka, I culled the Cuipeua fry Monday morning. I discovered a couple dead, fins closed and swimming listlessly like zoomies. Sorry to hear you culled your SS spawn.

I am sorry to hear that. That is exactly what happened to the SS spawn. Not sure what this issue was but since they were also the fry from the "Oh the stupidity of me" thread I was thinking maybe they did not handle the switch of tanks very well. No idea really but I was not happy.
