Water specs for Discus

Hi. My storage water tank specs are as follows. GH 179, KH 131ppm and ph 7.8. What can I expect for discus growth and then breeding with those qualities. I have an RO system but have not set it up. Discus will start in BB 55 gallon at 83 temp. Thanks

You should be able to grow out in that water. My water is 7.8 and hard,my discus always grew well. As for breeding they would lay eggs in that water as well. I would wait and then move pair's into smaller tanks and use a mix of RO/Tap water. You'll have to play to get the right mix so you'll need test kits. I never tested for PH but for hardness.
