Dutchman, what size tank is that? Those are some beautiful fish, great variety. What types do you have?

That pair in the beginning of video looks as though they are defending a breeding ground.

@DiscusLoverJeff:I come from The Netherlands. Here we measure in cms.My tank is 220x70x70 cm.It is about 1000 litres of water.Indeed the fishes in teh beginning, hypselecara temporalis are defending the territory. What else swims in my tank:

Uarus sp.Orange
Mesonauta insignis
Cichlasoma amazonarum
kwikwis
Dianema urostriata
guinacara owroewefi Grand Lassaut
poptella orbicularis
krobia Xingu
brochis splendens
corydoras arcuatus
sturisomas
planiloricaria cryptodon.

It is it.Think you see a lot of new names??Is not it??:o

Wow what a beautiful set you have there. Great combination of fish. What are you using for filtration on this tank?

Thnx all for the compliments.I really like these fishes together.

@Bonsai Dave:I have a sump and I do use an external Eheim professional 3e pump. This one I do clean every week.My young uarus sp.Orange are the whole day "eating of the wood''what creates a lot of mess.

@Joanstone:My pictures are not that well but I can show you a panorama picture from before:

@Jeff O:I had three weeks hoplarchus psittacus. In the beginning I haf three. When pair and one solid woman. The pair was agressive towards the single woman.I did the single female out. Then begun the war.The male really wanted to kill the female.I have tried it 2 weeks with a fishnet.Tried it again but in the end the female was black of stress and all her fins were torn. The male did not stop attacking. So I brought them to someone who had al bigger tank and I bought hypselecara temporalis.Like these quiet big fishes.

Here is a vid of the hoplarchis psittacus. That time it still was a short time piece:

I love your tank! I've recently set up an Amazon blackwater tank for my wild cross angelfish. The assortment of fish makes your tank very interesting to observe.

What is the fish at 2:36 in the video?

Wow very well aquascaped and I love the diversity of the tank. Are those hoplo cats(sorry don't know the Latin name)? How big are the loricaria?

@Pauline:Thnx for the compliments.Like angelfishes also but sometimes you have to make choices. The fish at 2 min 36 is a young F1 uaru amphiacantoides sp. Orange.I like the diversity also very much.

@Rook 45:Thnx also for the compiments.Fishes are indeed hoplosternum littorale. The planiloricaria cryptodon are about 35 cms.Twice the length of an adult discusfish.

The hoplos sometimes make bubbles in my aquarium to lay eggs in.

What I already expected. My cichlasomas had every time eggs but after a hew nights they were gone.I thought my big L114 and L 600 plecos were the ones which had eaten the eggs.Last wednesday i sold them and this was the result this morning:

I love your stocklist. We have very similar interests in cichlids. My tanks usually contain Uaru, Heros, Hypselecara, Hoplarchus, Krobia, Laetacara, Heroina, Mesonauta, and various Cichlasoma or Aequidens types. I'm a big fan of Heroini and Acara cichlids. ;)
