After you have attachment,are we removing the cone?It seems to give a focale point,structure,but I dont want to incourage spawning.I know,if they really want to,they have the sides.I was using upsidedown orchid pots for awhile,and they were kinda big,so I would take them out,but with proper cones,not so big.Mostly using 20h,a couple of 29's.

I remove mine upon attachment.

Bill,
One thing I noticed with my Carnation pair is, when I take the female out after they get to attachment stage, the male occasionally scoots them back on the the cone when he gets hungry. I will video this next time I see it. They stay on the cone until he swims back to them then they attach themselves to him again. For this reason I have always left cones in until I felt they needed the room to swim.
