I have read... anywhere from 3 (360 gph) times to 10 (1200 gph) times the gallons per hour. In all my non discus tanks (where I did not do daily water changes) I kept 7 to 8 times. I also had a completely natural planted tank (ecosystem sorts) where everything was excellent with 1/5th (yes... 1/5th!!) turnover.
But again, this will depend on how frequently you do the water changes, what size discus you have etc.

2 to 3 times per hour should be adequate, particularly with the low bio-load that you have in the 120 gal.
More important is the size/frequency of wcs, and the your tank cleansing routine you maintain in that heavily planted environment.

what if those 6 discus are adults , and w/c 50% in 1 week .
and how many discus can fit in 120gallon planted ?

If your 6 discus were full-sized adults, you could get by with 1 -50% wc per week, if you also did a good tank cleansing at the same time, to keep that well-planted tank as clean as possible. That would be a low bio-load.
Normally (with say, 2 or more wcs per week) you could keep up to a dozen adult discus in that tank, along with the 16 Cardinals and 6 Corydoras that you have, or are planning on...... - but given that the tank is heavily planted, I would suggest no more than 10 discus under those conditions, preferably down to 8.

GBR's are fine as discus tankmates. Torpedo Barbs are a no-no (much too active & quite agressive when feeding).
