driftwood for new 110 gallon

new driftwood for my 110 gallon hopefully to setup next month when they grow out.

Time to set up is now. Will the driftwood stay where it is or float? Could be a week before it sinks. If you have the time, and it looks like you do, let the driftwood give off anything like tannins into your water now before you have fish in the tank. You can start your filter for this tank on the grow out tank so it will be cycled when you put it on this tank.

thanks, yeah I am going to soak it in a 55 gallon trash can for a week or two. The person I got it from had it drying out for a year. My plan is to use some of the water in 55 gallon grow out then use water from aged barrel so it is like a water change and then use the filter sponges I have and the xp canister that is in the grow out. The only new filter I will be using is a fluval fx5. Thinking by doing this I should have enough BB bacteria and cycled water to aid in new tank. Do yall think that should be fine.. thanks

Yes got it for a steal, double glass its heavy as crap but I am going to love the height.

A used one is being offered for $300 by me with metal stand and light. I was hoping it wasn't going to be that heavy. I have a old 220 and that tank nearly killed me moving. I guess Ill see Friday when I go look at it.
