So I had a new girl start yesterday and ints kinda an unwritten policy the people who work in the main office talk to the Discus. Ya know - ask how they are doing, etc. "Good morning chooch" anyway she thinks we are all crazy. Today is her second day - she'll be in at 10. Hmmmm will she say something? Don't you all talk to your Discus???

I talk to mine daily, not sure how much they take in though. :p It will be interesting to see what she does. It's kind of like how dogs react to people and vice versa, can tell you a lot about someone.

Hubbie, who "hates" fish, also talks to them, but only if he thinks nobody can see him... ;)

My two yr old talks to them all the time. "Hi fishes" " Hi baby discus!" Bye fisheeeees! Bye fisheees! See you later!" "Good night discus! I love you!" Kid is a goofball. As for me yes I won't go into our conversations as they are classified.

I do talk to my discus. The juvies tank sits next to where I do my schoolwork, so they get to hear all about my classes and which instructors suck! They also hear all about the fishes on the forum that are sick so they know how lucky they are :)

I thought everyone talked to their discus too! <3

I actually have two guys who do pitch in on WC's but it's out of their interest in helping the fish, I would NEVER !!!!

Funny but true: We have a subwoofer near the tank..(doesn't seem to bother them) and when some sounds come through it, my oldest dog thinks it's the fish, and she goes over to bark at them...The wet ones all come over to see if she has food... if I can catch them with the video, I'll you tube it for y'all...
