sponge filters

I have read some threads on here, want to know what you guys think and what has worked the best. I have 2 large filter sponges in my 55 gal growout. Moving to 110 soon, FX5 and xp canister...
Question... I have seen some of the dual bioload sponge filters that are joined together, also saw some of the reg. corner sponge filters that would fit better in the tank. What works best for you, all suggestions and comments welcome...thanks

I've used API sponges for years. The sponge material lasts quite a long time and it's easy to get pars or replacement sponges if needed.

Kens (http://www.kensfish.com/ati-sponge-filters.html) has the best prices that I've found without having to buy 100 of them.
