I don't know specifically, but I do know he took a break from the fish world for a while. I had purchased an RO unit through him.

It was a combination of things. In short, some family health issues and he was a little burnt out on importing.

Swami bumped into him a couple weeks ago in a Walgreens. He sent me an email to let me know. He said they didn't talk discus, but Dan said he is doing good. Hopefully he gets back into discus, he is the one who started this whole Piwowarksi craze.
