Youngest grand baby trying to take control of my horse. She thinks she owns it.

The next day my 2 youngest rode over to see their nieces. I almost feel sorry for kids that are raised inside watching TV and playing video games.

I do and your pictures are precious John. My daughter grew up with horses and living in the country. She had chickens, geese, crows, bunnies, snakes and various birds. She thought she was "missing out" but as an adult she has decided maybe not :D

I wish all kids could experience the outdoor living! Cute kids!

That's the truth. Even I am old enough to remember the days of playing outside instead of sitting inside. From the time i woke up until it got to dark to see, and drinks came from the garden hose. Never was around horses growing up but there were a few cows.

Very precious John...you must be very proud.
I'm a city slicker but did ride when i could make it out to the various farms.
Wished I could have been raised in the country with horses....maybe in the next life.

Randy I am old...LOL

MSD it counts in my book. Anything to help the struggling horse industry is a plus. When the idiot stopped the horse slaughter industry not only did they put people out of work but they also crippled the entire horse industry.

Hey John, love the pics, envy the kids that grow up like that....never had'm as a kid, but sure did enjoy them when I started with'm after finishing vet school....showed my horses lots for many years & loved every minute of it...now I miss it, but it was a great ride....wish I could just get on & ride one in my pasture this spring...maybe...I do believe that many youngsters would be enriched with a connection with a horse & leave the technology even for just a few hours a day or a week, lol......

John, I love your pics. A good horse is worth it's weight in gold. I have 2 mares that I let friends bring their little ones over to ride on or just get pics of them around the girls. My daughter loves hers. I wish more kids could have this opportunity, I used to board at a stable where their motto was, " There's nothing wrong with the inside of a kid that the outside of a horse wouldn't fix." They had troubled kids up to hang with the horses every summer. It was amazing the transformation in these kids, especially around the foals.

Thanks for sharing your family, both the 2 legged little ones and the 4 legged big ones.

Well John there is still a lot of horse farms here on Long Island too, but we get regulated out of everything we enjoy in life.
