I have always loved the look of nicely done single strain discus tanks. So what is the nicest single strain discus tank you have seen?
Yes we all like the ADG tank with the group of RGD or whatever red strain they are, but whats the nicest single strain tank you have seen other than that tank hahaha:)
Either domestic or wild strains doesn't matter.

Mauro, the quality of your Cuipeua's is by far better. I hope you can bring your fish with you to the US.

Just to clarify incase you may have mis-read my original post,..I am just asking what is your favourite single strain TANK that you have seen?
For example Pat posted a pic of her wonderful single strain tank, and I also posted a link to a members single strain tank.
Please don't take offence to this post I am happy to have everyones posts but I just wanted clarify my intent of this thread so as this wasn't to be confused with me asking whats your favourite strain.

Yes right, sorry... maybe this one: http://www.tfhmagazine.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Jeff-Discus-Tank.jpg

Though I have some nit picks. I wouldn't use rocks, they virtually don't exist in discus habitat, and I would place some, or a lot, of fallen leaves on the bottom.

A single strain tank can be really striking. I really loved dww-law's Rafflesia tank: http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?102162-My-Custom-265-Gallon-Discus-Show-Tank

There's so many beautiful strains available that It's really hard for many people to settle on just one, but the visual impact is so striking when it's done.

Nicklee, as I said in the other thread your tank is very well done and thank you for posting a pic here. Its not over done at all its very clean, well thought out, and very asthetically pleasing with the great choice in driftwood that you placed perfectly.

No this tank is in Mike Senske office at the ADG building, from what I read he bought the fish as Red Covers. The tank itself is filtered by 2 Eheim 2262 that are filled with Purigen and other biological filter material. He says that he as well does lots of large water changes.

Since we are on the ADG topic we can't leave out this tank that is also located at the ADG building.

I may be mistaken but I believe ths tank has since been taken down and remodeled and i am not sure if it is still a discus tank. This is Mike Senske performing the weekly water change on this tank. And before anyone asks it was on a friday hahahaha:p
Here is what the tank looks like now:

This thread has been stale for a while. I love single strain tanks, and was wondering if anyone has any additional single strain tanks they would like to share with us? :D
