One question: are the males that usually "fight" when pairs are forming? I am asking because a third Cuipeua started fighting with one Cuipeuas of my first pair. I wonder if they are two males fighting for the same female or the other way around.

Mauro, I think it can be true for both genders but depends on the dynamics and gender makeup of the group. For example with the Tefes it is the males and with the Cuipeua it is the females even through both groups are female heavy.

Thanks Barb, these are wild green Tefes and all I know is there is a Tefe Lago (lake) and a Tefe river so guessing one of the two.
