Hello everyone
I have been keeping tropical fish for about 14 years, since getting my first aquarium for Christmas when I was 10 years old. It all started with 10 cent goldfish from Wal-Mart, which blossomed into a livebearer fascination. It was not long until I had a 55 gallon Amazon biotype and an African Rift Lake biotype. Throughout my middle and high school careers, when I still lived at home, if it held water, it had a thriving community of some kind of fish in it in my room. When I moved away for college, I very reluctantly reduced my obsession to the 55gallon African cichlid tank, which my parents could take care of when I was away. At college, it killed me that I had to just stick to a 2 gallon Betta tank.
I graduated college, got a job, an apartment, and am back in full swing :-)
When I started up again from scratch, I wanted a challenge. I could not think of a better challenge than keeping the mystifying discus. I got a few discus, and fell in love! I currently have discus aquarium, a saltwater reef tank, and a small Amazon community aquarium. I am in the process of getting two more large tanks to expand my discus fascination. Hopefully by next weekend, they'll be here and full of water :cheesy:
I will post pics of some of my below as soon as I figure out how :-)
