I don't Lawrence but might be able to find out. This is a red form heckel cross from Watanabe. Kraig grew this one from four inches.

Very nice Heckel X and Heckel Pat. I am am in the same boat trying to decide what to breed with my lone Heckel X. Wild Cuipeua are near by for just $50 each, but I would really like to hold out for a nice Heckel, or something else with a strong center bar (and nine bars if possible).

Thanks mee, is your heckel cross a male? if so getting a female heckel to breed in captivity is very difficult and if you wish to go that route I wish you the very best. I know that the above heckel is a male. However I do not know the gender of the heckel cross and hope it is female. If this pairing does not work I have other wild and domestic stock from which to draw possible mates. I hope you find something suitable for your cross.
