I have and I will in the future. I suggest using the same caution when mixing any two groups of fish.

Did it. I had no problems at all. Just be a little more dilegent with the quarentine procedures.

i am currently doing it. no problems so far. i have 3 wild blue royals/semi royals and 4 albino royal blues in the same 100gal. got a little pair up action going on. they have been in their for 5 months.

As long as they are properly quarantined, there's really no reason you can't mix wild stock with domestic stock. All my tanks are a mix of wild cichlids and tank-bred cichlids. You may see differences in behaviors or personalities but when it comes to care, discus are discus. They love clean, warm water and quality, varied foods. Some wilds may be pickier about their water parameters when it comes to spawning but that's another story altogether.
