I went to petsmart to pick up 15 neon and guess what? The old guy who told me people was using neon as feeder... I told the guy I was going to add them to my discus tank... he reply saying "thats the same thing as using them as feeder" I reply no they wont, he reply discus will rip them up...

If they are big enough they will.

Discus will certainly eat neons. Some discus keepers have good luck, but others notice the neons start to quickly disappear...

My discus would eat neons because my angels would get them into a feeding frenzy. Then everything all of sudden was food lol.

What about rummy nose?

I haven't had any issues with rummynose tetras, or any tetras in the Hyphessobrycon genus family. Cardinal tetras depending on size may or may not survive relative to the size of discus mouth.

Cardinals are bigger and people on SD say Cardinals do better at Discus temperatures. I have Cardinals but have not had Neons. Any fish will eat another fish that fits in its mouth.

I lost 2 rummy nose in a matter of 5 minutes of putting 10 into the tank. If they can catch It they will eat it. I call it survival of the fittest. The others quickly learned they had to be careful and btw it wasn't the smallest of them It was actually the biggest.
