I've been reading about young discus being stunted, and it's been somewhat worrisome for me. I currently have 3 discus, 1 red pigeon blood, 1 cobalt, 1 dark angel. All of them are quality from Hans. The dark angel is about an inch smaller than the other two, about 3 1/2 opposed to around 4 1/2. He was my first one, and he's been doing really great. The tank had been set up and running for little over a year before I put the discus in. I am new to the discus world, so your advice means a lot to me.

I've been feeding twice a day, I would do more of them but I work 10 hours a day. I've been feeding a mixture of bloodworms, beef heart, and omega brine shrimp.

Thank you.

There is always a runt. This is going to be your runt. It's just something that happens. Just keeping feeding them good food and giving lots of clean water and they will continute to grow and make you proud. I also work 10+hr days. But an auto feeder so you can give an extra one or two feedings while you're at work. Fill the feeder with Bills super beef heart flake to get the best results.

:bandana: Agree w/ above. I too have discus from Hans. 7 of them grew like weeds, 1 not so much. It happens. Still a beautiful fish just smaller than the rest. "T"

If you bought them directly from Hans sometimes his smaller fish look football shaped and they should grow larger and round out.

Nope. That is a 'baby' Neo. The mother & father are 115 /175lbs respectively. Neapolitan Mastiffs are an acquired taste. lol lol "T"

I'd love to get a neo. My old english mastiff was 7 when she died in 2010. :(

In her prime, she was 190-200 lbs of the most lovable, kind, considerate dog I've ever owned.
