TNT Aquatics July Fireworks Auction for Simply

Dear SimplyDiscus Friends,

I am pleased to announce that Tara of TNT Aquatics has kindly agreed to donate your choice of one of four different groups of discus from her recent shipment. The four groups are:

- Two (2) 5.5 - 6" Red Map Panda Pigeons (select)
- Three (3) 4" Royal Ruby Red (select grade)
- Four (4) 3.5" Heckel X Royal Blues
- Six (6) 2.5" mixed discus, including: Two (2) HB Super Blue Angel Diamonds, Two (2) HB Floras, and Two (2) HB Royal Blue Titans

Update: Tara has added 1 Red Map Panda to group A, 1 3R to group B, 1 Heckel X to group C, and 2 (1 Altum Flora and 1 Royal BT) to group D.

The winning bidder will choose one of the four groups. Tara will also be donating free shipping. Canadian members can participate in this auction if they are near the Canadian/US border and can arrange with Tara to pick them up at a FedEx location or airport in the US. Proceeds from the auction will be used to support the forum and help keep it strong into the future.

Al at AquaticSuppliers.com is donating 100 grams of freeze-dried blackworms to the winner.

Starting bid is $180.

Ok, I asked if someone could explain the "Select Grade" of the Discus up for auction and what the grade scale is that is referenced too (I don't know much about grading Discus) and someone removed my post! is there something wrong with asking that kind of question on this forum?

Nothing wrong at all for asking. Here is the different grade scaling I go by though they may differ for others: regular grade (cosmetic flaws in pattern and or shape that varies from fish to fish), A grade (fewer flaws in shape and pattern), select grade (select for certain patterns or attributes with few flaws), show potential grade (minimal to no flaws but still needing growing out), show grade (minimal to no flaws..show fish).
