It's been hit or miss for me. Sometimes the geos are to active and bully the discus, sometimes they are perfect.

Most Goes will get along with discus. They do become quite aggressive during feeding time, Their dietary requirements are quite different from that of discus.

they are also too aggresive during spawn/breeding time. My last pair took between 1/3 - 1/2 of my 150G tank for just both of them.

Red head geos will be better choice than the other geos like altifon.

My tank isn't overly big so if they were gona take up that amount deff wouldn't be advisable...thanks for the input guys.

Try smaller eartheaters -- Mikrogeophagus (rams), Biotodoma, Crenicara, or even Dicrossus. They are smaller and less aggressive but still pretty fish with interesting personalities.
