one Discus stopped eating

1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
i bought four discus from a guy on craigslist about week and a half ago i am new to discus. i was feed them brine shrimp for 6 to 8 days my blood pigeon discus stopped eating about 5 days ago all are 4.5 inches i bought blood worms today and all my author three eat while he hides be hide filter intake and swims but not like before

2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

i havent seen any problems with look breaths like the authors but dosent want to eat

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

i am trying to get help from you guys tell me what should i use and where to get it.

4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.


75 gallon fish tank four discus 9 neon tetras and a gourami

5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).


do a water change every fridays about 70 to 75 percent

How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?

currently have sand as my substrate. tank has been running for over a year. my got discus about a week 10 or 11 days ago

i have been doing water changes every week.

what about now can you tell me whats wrong with my discus

Only thing u can do now to start.. is do do water changes everday.. the more the better.. do that for a week and see if they improve.. u need rule out water quality first..

But imo I think u may have bought sick fish off craigslist and u r new to discus.. did not do any research before buying.. .. so u need to read threads from other peoples problems and start those water changes
