Hey guys
I have recently brought 10 discus looking very healthy, they just finished been fluked and wormed in my quarentine tank, they have just settled in my main planted tank, one of my discus have come up with a very distinctive red spot near his fin, just wondering if anyone knows what this red spot is? It has only just come up today. Will be adding photos soon. Thank you

Problem1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?

48 hrs after putting discus in main planted tank, one discus has come up with a red spot near its fin

2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills,*white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus,blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

he has just got used of tank, everything seems good except for Red dot that has formed, little aggressive when eating but has always been this way since got him about a week ago, red dot only showed up today

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.Tank/Water

Nothing since unsure on what to treat for, had been wormed and fluked few days ago before spot appeared

4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.

300 letre tank, 10 discus ranging from 8cm to 14cm. Unknown age due to just got them. When introduced into tank the tank already had 6 bristlenoises.

5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).

30 percent once a week

6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?

Tank been running for 6 weeks, introduced bristlenoises, than introduced discus at 8 weeks. Gravel tank planted

7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.

Do not age water, stable ph 7.4

8. Parameters and water source;Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.
- temp 28 degrees Celsius
- ph 7.4
- ammonia reading 0.5
- nitrite reading 0
- nitrate reading 0

What type of water or combinations of water sources do you use? If it is an RO/tap/well water mix, please list percentages in the mix.

Just tap water that I condition

9. Any new fish, plants or inverts added recently.

Tank already had 6 bristlenoises before adding discus. It a planted tank

10. Include any pictures or videos you have which shows the symptoms. If you can't add them to this post, please provide a link to them.
