I drained all the water in qt tank where piwowskis were and moved them into new qt tank and also did 90% wc. They were probably stressed from netting them and moving in with other fish in qt. since then the ones i moved, 3 out of 4 have one side clamped fin. They do open once in a while.
This is due to stress? Just frequent wc and watch for now?
The other fish besides these i moved r fine.

Just keep the lights off and keep the water clean. They are probably upset about the move

How long have you had them? It may take a few days until they start eating.

Well not eating for 2 weeks is not normal for healthy fish why did you move them again? Were these from josie or did you buy them from someone else from the batches craig brought in? Were they showing these symptoms before the move? Can you post a video that is at least 30 seconds sometimes its easier to see if something is bothering a fish in a video.

These r josies fish. They havent eaten except red turq since i had em.
I moved them others with em as hero fish to josies.
Cuz their water got contaminated anyways. Between 2 qt tanks.
Kennys giant melon throwback took a month to eat when i was qting

Freeze dried blackworms and frozen blackworms.

I would suspect the frozen could be causing issues but not going to discuss it on the forum

All my other fish eat same frozen bws. No issues there.

Josie fish always look great so I wouldn't doubt that at all. Best thing would be contact her directly before this gets too far off track. My self I would only use the FDBW and a beef heart mix. Keep the water clean and maybe give them some epson salts to purge them out and get them hungry.

WC + enough aeration is helpful for clamped gill.

After I net my fish 1 or 2 of them will clamp their fins for a while from the stress, but they should start using it again the next day............

1 out of 3 fish with clamped fin is back to normal fin now. He is piwow cobalt blue.
But 2 brilliant blue still have clamped fin which opens when they swim. Their color seem little dark. But im just gonna watch for now.

I wonder if brilliant blue is usually more sensitive than other blues?
Cuz when my eruption leopard from kenny seem stressed, i found out spotted ones are more sensitive than others.

I noticed the ones with clamped fin has fuzzy fin and tail. Not a fungal growth but instead of clear fins, theirs is fuzzy in appearance. But one of them started to eat so thats good. Also all of them have good colors.
Heres some pics of fish with them that has clear fins and tail:

Ok what is this?
The fish inflamed gill and membrane protruding out had this long stringy yellow thing coming out of his poop hole.
Is this a worm?

Ok, for the clamped fin and fuzzy looking tail fins, relax a bit. =)

You used a net to move them, right? It's absolutely normal for them to clamp their fin on the side that was against the netting during the move. Some are very bothered by the net, others not so much. But it's normal and goes away in a few days (like a bruise or a slight sprain in humans).

The fuzzy tail fins and sometimes dorsal fins are the result of the net too. It's quite rough on them!

In the future you could do what I do to move all but my largest discus (they just plain refuse to be fooled by a bowl and the bowl I have to use on them is SO large that it's impossible to chase them around with it...lol).

I have a large clear plastic bowl, about 7" diameter on the bottom and 9" across the top. It stands about 4" high. I place it in the tank on it's side and just hold it there till the discus all relax and start swimming around it. Once they're comfortable, I gently use it to scoop up one fish at a time. When you lift them out of the water, tilt the bowl slightly to drain out most of the water. That forces them to lay flat so they don't flop around and hurt themselves.

Then just slip them right into the new tank and voila, no fin damage.

If you do have to use a net, use it very gently, lift them out with one hand and with the other, support their body weight. That will at least help to keep them from thrashing around as they leave the water.

Ok, for the yellow poop, that's a concern in my book. I've never experienced it with any of my fish, but I think I remember someone like Eddie or Jimg saying that yellow is a sign of an internal bacterial infection. It might just be a one off thing though, so if it was me I'd observe him tomorrow and see if he does it again.

If he does, definitely post it on the Disease/Sickness section of the forum, ok?

Jim is the best person to ask. PM him. Yellow feces is not a good indication but the eyes still look red so you must act quickly. Good luck.

Yeah the yellow poop is a concern. If it were me I would run a course of metro maybe even with an antibiotic like kanamyacin or furan 2. See what Jim says
