1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?

discus started laying on the side but they would still eat and then go back to laying down, started 2 weeks ago

now they are not eating and seem to have a dent or the sides sucked in.

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

I tried Epson salt and the poop came out black, also 4 days of metro and focus, and now I am doing a prazipro

Once they start staying on their sides like that they are pretty far gone. I'm thinking an internal infection. Can you get your hands on kanamyacin fast? You need to treat at something like 10x's the dose on the bottle. On a 20 g though it would not be too expensive. Else just keep up with the clean water, not sure prazi will help at this point.

Oh that's a big bummer. Does this happen often or is it something I did?

What about my altum flora he doesn't Kay down he's just belly rubbing the bottom of the tank. If he dies I will never hear the end of it with the wifey that's her favorite.

Yes it is just expensive for what you get. Plus you need to dose much more than on the label somewhere around 300 mg per gallon but search here and double check

If the kanamyacin is too expensive furan 2 has a component that is absorbed bur you need to double or triple the dose (again the bottle directions are different than what is recommended by Eddie I believe)
