Any advise would be appreciated. I have a pair of discus in a b.b. 40 gal tank that spawn quite regular. You can watch the female lay the eggs and watch the male fertilize them. The eggs are orange and stay orange only a few turn white. But they never hatch and when the time comes due when they should hatch they will eat them when they go past the hatch time.

During the spawning try turning off filter and leave only air running... This way the eggs can get fertilize by the male...

Thank you for the replies. My water has a ph of 7.5 and the tds is 90. I use a sponge filter. Perhaps I should turn the air down. But I have never seen eggs stay orange they usually will turn white if they are not fertilized or could I be wrong.
