Hi there is this what HEX looks like

1. DISEASE QUESTIONNAIRE

Problem

1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them? The feces is long and pale in color, I first noticed it a week or so ago it started out being segmented but now appears a little translucent.

2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds). No apartment symptoms fish looks alert swimming fine and eating well.

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment. I tried Blueplanet Fluke & Tapeworm treatment I done the whole tank thinking that if it was tapeworm then the others could have them no signs of any tapeworm from any of the other fish after treatment, I have since moved the effect fish as it is a part of a pair that just spawned (but eggs were eaten), so will it be a problem if they spawn again and I try to treat the effected fish? I should add that I have tried to find meds with METRO (in Australia) but have not been able to find any API General Cure does not appear to be in the country.

Tank/Water

4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish. 160L, 5 weeks old 3 discus 20 neons 6 guppies

5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often). Twice weekly 25-30%

6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it? About 5 weeks, black gravel about 25mm deep.

7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing. I do not age the water, water is current treated with discuss buffer, after reading ph value is not as important as stable ph I’m in the process of going back to straight tap water over a period of time by not treating all the water during WC, my tap water is 8 ph drops to 7.8 after 24 hours.

8. Parameters and water source;
Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.

- temp _____29C

- ph _____ 6.6 see above

- ammonia reading ____0

- nitrite reading ____0

- nitrate reading ____10

What type of water or combinations of water sources do you use? If it is an RO/tap/well water mix, please list percentages in the mix.

- well water ____No

- municipal water ____100%

- RO water ____No

9. Any new fish, plants or inverts added recently. No (Only Some driftwood)

10. Include any pictures or videos you have which shows the symptoms. If you can't add them to this post, please provide a link to them.

Good call on the metro. Run the full dose for a week. If you do a search for metro you will see that it needs to be redosed every 8 hours as it breaks down quickly. When I use metro i dose the full amount at night in the evening then redose the full amount in the morning before i leave for work. Repeat for 7 days. It doesnt work for me to be here every 8 hours so i aim for 12.
