I would get a second heater for when it gets cold. I would also place them at oppersite sides of the tank for better heat distribution. I would also consider a controller in case one of the heaters sticks on. If you have a 108 gal tank with Discus the cost of the controller is small compared to the cost of the Discus.

I just set up a 55 gallon aquarium. I had problems getting the temperature at 82-86 degree. I finally placed 2 100 watts and 1 125 watts and it has kept by temperature in that 82-84. The tank is in a cold room and the temperature drop at night. This solved the problem but my electric bill really went up.

Hope this helps, my discus show tank has been set up for about 2 months now. Its a 110g tall and at first i had a hard time getting my tank to jump above 82° , was running 2x 250watt. I finally purcashed a 300watt to get my temp to stay at a constant 86 and was able to jump it up to 90 for a recent ich outbreak. My tank is also in a colder area. I positioned the 2 250w vertically at either end if tank and the 300 watt horizontally in the middle of tank towards the bottom. Works like a charm. Currently working on a temp controller from a device I found on Amazon.
