i have a LOT of dogs at my dog business, and have to open the door to do water changes, that lets them inside from outside, i use a lot of fly traps, that are totally safe because they are not in reach of the tanks, the flys climb inside. and inside something sticky on a plate with over ripe fruit, banana or something, so corn syrup and banana on a plate for the day , or a gallon jug with apple cider vinegar inside, those sorts of things are superb !!

I hung fly strips from my ceiling. Granted my fish room is in an unfinished basement. I like this bc it's off the ground so my pets and kid can't get into them.

@inkbull that plant is called Drosera Derbyensis (octopus plant) . Best to go with fly paper

They are actually Drosera 'Marston Dragon', D. binata, and D. intermedia.

I use one of those UV zapper lamp units. No chemicals & a satisfying sizzle noise!

Yes of course, it just a few UV lamp tubes & some live wires. The wires are protected from baby children by a larger wire cage. You can also hang the unit from the ceiling.

About 20 years ago I worked at a Pet store while going to school and people did actually come in and buy small anoles to release in their houses for that very reason. Not sure how having lizards crawl around your home were you sleep and eat is any more sanitary but to each his own I guess lol
