I have a 150 watt ebo jäger heater the bottom of the glass broke works still. Is it still usable to put into fish tank?

I would get it out. Very dangerous. Unplug before you reach in to remove it...Bill

Lol no it's old. I didn't buy then came with the tank I got off of Craigslist 2-3 years ago. They heaters them selves where never used and still in boxes but one of them broke.

If the glass is broken you will probably put electricity into your tank. If you can get a free replacement heater, get one. If you can get a replacement glass make sure it is watertight in an empty tank to be sure. DO NOT PUT THE BROKEN GLASS HEATER INTO ANY TANK WITH FISH.

THROW IT AWAY!! Or go buy a new one and take that one back, tell them it was broke when you opened it............

:bandana: Play it safe & toss it. Get a non-glass heater. "T"

I don't understand why you'd even consider using it?

Agree, toss it immediately. I have two heaters in my tank, partly to even out any heat pockets and partly as an insurance policy incase one heater packs it in.

Thank all I really needed was one person answering lol. As to the person who ask why I would consider using it. I did not know does that answer your question?

If I did I would of not asked. It is tossed as stated above.

I think the problem is that you need to do a water change, screw the heater.

LOl......Given recent events around here, I couldn't resist.

Seriously though, dispose immediately of the heater.

No! I dont like jager heaters, prone to condensation etc.
