My tap test VERY high in KH and GH. KH around 180 ppm and GH around 150.
I know that discus like very soft water, i have done much research and reading and i also understand that they can adjust to most conditions. I am talking about the difference between thriving and surviving, so please save the "its fine they'll adjust comments." If my tap water is coming out this hard is it best i use RO/RODI water and add trace minerals or should i use a 50/50 mix 70/30 ... something like that.
My tds meter also reads nitrates straight out of the tap that are high. I live in an agricultural farming area so i am going to assume it is because of these farms leeching into the water supply. I know, weird i say that AND live in southern california!
