Ok the male can carry that amount with no problem. My female got aggressive with my male after about 2 or 3 weeks because he was carrying most of the fry, so I took her out. Keep an eye on her if she gets worse the male can carry them. If the male is good with them you will be fine

she has them again and stopped since we turned the white light off, do you think that could have been the problem ? the white being to bright, should i just keep the blue one on.. and thanks for your help .

My Carnation Pigeon male carried 150 by himself, so 35 is not a problem.

Good luck!

I used a single buld flourscent light on all the time till I pulled the male, then at night left blue moon light on. As long as you have a light on you will be fine. Just keep an eye on her. With that amount of fry and it being first spawn she might get alittle excited about not being able to carry more fry and will compete with the male to carry them. So just keep a watch out....

95% of the time the male is the better parent, pull the female, otherwise it sounds like you might come home one day to 0 fry.

Female is not a heckel...perhaps a turquoise of some sort?
