Lowest Discus temp.

I have wilds and domestics in my tank with many other fish. The other fish do well at my Discus temp 84. I have Sword plants that do not do well over time. What is the lowest temp. anyone keeps Discus at so my plants will do better. I will not try a good plant temp. like 75-76 because that may not be warm enough for Discus.

What type of sword plants do you have. Mine have always done well at 82 degrees and I have multiple amazon swords.

I would not go lower that 82 with domestics.

Agreed. The plants and fish will do well at 82.

I do not know what type of Sword plants I have. I know there are different species. The only thing I can add is they are about 2' tall. I will lower my temp to 82 and see how things work. It will take weeks I think to notice any changes in my plants.
