I'm ready to buy a microscope! I have no idea as to the power I need to identify parasites, and/or their eggs in fecal matter! Can someone please enlighten me??? Kris

You have to look for magnifience power, which is combined with mangnifience of ocular and objective lens. You need between 40x and 600x magnifience.

I didn't realize that a student scope would cost soooo much...I guess I'll keep using the scope in the lab, at the hospital where I work!! (They aren't real happy with me bring fish poop into their lab) I guess I'll tell them that it's my poop!! LOL

Do you think 40x would show worm eggs?
