My Discus Tank

hi,
im newbie and this is my first try to keep Discus fish. please give me comment about my fish, setup and ...
i bought my fish from mac's discus because he is local but my next order will be from Kenny:D
my setup is 72 gallon bowfront, 300w heater, Eheim 2217 filter. i keep temperature at 85-86 F and do water change 30-40 % every day.
list of my discus strains:
1: Red Ruby
2.King Cobra
3.Thai Yellow
4.Eruption
5:Red Checkerboard Pigeon
6.Blue Diamond ( stunted fish but i want to keep it to see if gets better )

Your set-up looks quite nice - the discus are eating well and they appear healthy. Nice start with discus. And yes, your BD appears stunted. Good move to go with Kenny's discus next time around.
What are the small dither fish ? - Hard to tell.

I have 4 zebra's, 2 Buenos Aires tetra's and 2 Cory's. I had some neon tetras and one golden nugget pleco
But my discus ate them.

I have the same background but can't get it to stay. How do you keep it on?

You'll probably want to get rid of the gravel... Either for sand or bare bottom. Gravel is sooooo hard to keep super clean.

I just tape 4 corner of background and it stay fine in back.
I vacuum my gravel everyday when I do watet change and its easy to keep it clean. But I know I can make it easier to go with BB. I might do it later when I get tired to vacuum every day:)

Sooner to bb or sand the better. Im learning the hard way and now plan on pfs.

Every thing about your tank, including the discus, looks real good .... except for one small thing.... if I may respectfully suggest: change your substrate - the blue color doesn't do anything for the natural coloration of the fish, particularly the bd's.
Consider removing the blue gravel and replacing it with a light colored PFS (white or light beige/sand color), and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much better your tank looks overall, especially the fish.

Thanks for you comment. Actully my plan is to go with white sand or
BB. But I'm busy at work and don't want to mess up with water.
