What is the biggest discus tank you have seen and how does the owner keep up with it's maintenance? Also if you have a picture of it please post. We have seen tanks up to 320 gallons but what about bigger? Say 500 gallons and up. That is 500 gallons of living space not including filtration.

Here's an 800 gallon discus tank. Believe some members here have see this or know the owner.

Very nice. Is this a custom made tank? Also I wonder what routine the owner performs on this large of tank?

Scuba comes to mind here for the tank maintenance.

Nar looks like since such a heavy planted tank that there only light in some parts in the tank and that why some look dark, that's what it looks like anyway

Tank looks fine, it Looks like this guy is a serious discus keeper, and has grown fish from 2.5 inch fish to some exceptional fish. I love the unified theme, in my opinion there is nothing more outstanding or natural than a single species tank.

That tank is awesome. The plants are incredible. I know how much work that must be. I did it with a 100 gallon. Can't imagine 800 gallons. I like the plain fish with the plants it is a little more natural. Even though discus come from habitats without many plants. With that mass of plants it may make up for some of the water changes needed. It's own little micro habitat. I used to get so much plant growth I had to remove and just throw them out. Sometimes the LFS would take plants.
The depth may mute the lighting a lot and decrease the coloration on the fish.

I recall a thread on here last Spring about a huge Amazon tank, with discus, where the famous guy scaping it had multiple people walking around inside it, placing the plants with shovels & hand tools.

At this point I might start selling tickets.
