My pair of royal red turks have spawned again and laid eggs. They are approx.18 mos. old. This will be their 5th batch. They have ate all the other batches of eggs.around the 24 hour mark. Only a few eggs have turned white when they ate them. I believe it was the male that ate them. Now my question is should I remove the male. there is a partition in the tank so it would be easy. Or do you think the intrusion into the tank would spook the female and she would eat the eggs. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Breeding takes time, i now how you feel everyone wants to see some wrigglers. I would let them try to breed on there own a few more times. if that does not work than you can cover the eggs to keep them from being eaten. I use plastic chicken wire, this alows the pair to be able to care for the eggs without eatting them and once the eggs have hatched then they can swim through the openings to get to the pair. Good luck with the breeding
