Growth Rate?

Hi!

I'm still working on my tank, and getting things as perfect as I can. Will be buying my discus next month.

I'm curious.... assuming that I'm feeding them enough/properly and doing the correct amount of water changes etc... how long does it take for a discus to reach maturity/full color?

The discus I plan on purchasing are in the 2.5 to 3 inch range. Just wondering how long it will take for them to reach their beautiful color/patterns.

Lots of factors involved but lets go with one year.

12 months to 18 months. Size will depend on a lot of factors as you mentioned, water changes, food, strain, lineage etc.
