Hi all!

I'm sure this is mentioned somewhere, but I'm not able to search yet, as I'm a new member and new to discus. I ordered my Discus from Kenny. I'm very excited to receive them on the 24th of January.

Everything is ready to go and I only have one more item to purchase. An Automatic Food Feeder.

What auto feeder do you use? I'm looking for something of good quality yet moderately priced. Something that will feed at least 4 times per day. I'm also hoping to find one that won't require me to make any changes to the tanks hood/canopy.

What do you suggest, how much was it and where did you purchase it?

Thanks so much!

I use the eheim as well...

However, I did buy some cheapo ebay ones that work well too... they're just not as well built, BUT they're still working.

I have been using the Eheim with the fan for the last three years and still working four times a day like a good horse:)

Will the Eheim work with the loose FDBW, if not dose anyone know which one will?

It depends how big the opening is (adjustable). Otherwise it gets tangled up and doesn't come out very well IME.

I only use pellets in mine now though. I find that comes out the easiest of all foods and the most consistently.

I use the petco one for like 20 bucks it work really nice 4 feedings a day and a manual feed button. It has adjustable opening to increase or decrease your feedings and it comes with two different ways to "mount" it, clamp and double sided sticky tape. I'm currently using flakes for it but Im sure youll be fine with loose FDBW

Just got the Eheim auto feeder myself. Tested it last night and it looks like its a great quality built piece of equipment. It also has a lot of different feeding variations.

I use the eheim as well. I mix it loose FDBW, flakes, pellets, and pieces of small algae wafers. Works great.

Heard a "Plonk" when watching the TV tuned to find the feeder floating in the tank double sided tape let go. Bugger of to the LFS for a new one.

I got the Aquachef Automatic feeder, but the feeder doesn't work along with the timer. When I set the timer for four times feeding, and when the time is reached, the feeder doesn't feed. The only way the feeder feeds the fish is when I press the manual button...I am not sure that because of the feeder has some problems or I haven't set it up right....anyone has experience with that auto feeder. Thanks

The Eheim 3582 works very well. It has plenty of options with the double chambers and multiple programming options.

My first laugh for the day, an " auto" feeder that only works manual.
