I've been treating for ick for about a week now- 3 days at 1/2 dose and 4 days at full dose of Quick Cure. The spots are not going away, but growing. Are these anchor worms? What is the best treatment?http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/t651/OCDiscus/anchorworm_zps299519fd.jpg (http://s1318.photobucket.com/user/OCDiscus/media/anchorworm_zps299519fd.jpg.html)

The first pic was blurry, making the spots look longer. They look more like spots in pic 2.

Does that look like a worm? Anchor worms look like worms, and are usually found on Goldfish, usually around the anus area ...Colder water fish are most prone to it. That looks like ick...Bill

Thanks William. The first pic fooled me. I guess the fish wasn't still.

Yep. A blurry pic from the fish moving can make the spots look like worms. This is the third of fourth case in this tank, and in particular this fish. I don't know why he is most susceptible- 2nd largest in the tank. Not bullied. I did add a couple of plecos after a two week quarantine. I had a uv sterilizer that I thought would prevent another outbreak. It broke out with the sterilizer running. Temp was 82. I think I'll keep it at 86 from now on.
