Those of you that use oil to heat your homes, curious what you pay per gallon... 3.79 gal here in CT where I am. I'm lucky as I burn wood for supplimental heat... but still need the oil for out hot water needs, and occasionally on a frigid night.
I have just had the pleasure of just shelling out for 200 gals ((ouch!)) and was curious how everyone fares.

Slightly different but similar.....we heat with propane. It is currently costing us about $3.15 a gallon.

We just paid $3.85/gallon here in Vermont. Just shelled out $512+ for 132 gallons. Our place in Maine is shut down for the winter, but we have a propane furnace. The price for propane there is possibly a bit less, but in the same ball park.

Just paid $3.85 per gallon in PA for 100 gallons.
I was down to a 1/4 tank and could only swing a small delivery that week.
The number does do down at 150, 200 & 200+ gallons so $3.79 sounds right for us in the mid-atlantic states.
Seems like I'm getting touched-up every week for $300 to $500 for something....tires, dog teeth cleaning, tuition, oil.
Poor me, huh. (Just like all of us)

I use propane and that sounds about right for me too... although, now I'm curious if I'm being charged by the pound or gallon. I thought it was by the pound and if so, I'm paying much more which makes me think it must be by the gallon... for some reason Amerigas isn't letting me pull up old bills right now.
