Problem

1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
One of my Albino discus is not acting like himself, he used to be the dominate fish of his group with a great appetite but now he is hiding a lot, looks paler then normal his appetite took a nose dive and every so often he shakes his head. I first noticed around a week and half ago and tried treating with Metro but it didn't do the trick.

2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

Hard to say, well in my little experience I've seen my fish shaking their head, and the only possible cause for that was flukes for me, because the were flashing agains objects constantly, I'm dosing prazi as of right now, and I've seen some improvement, head shaking has been reduced and so has the flashing. If your fish is not eating then you can try adding garlic to the food, that may bring him around, or give his favorite food, or sometimes if you have live food especially black worms they would go like crazy for them. Just one idea to keep him from starving. HTH good luck.
