Has anyone noticed that Stendker's Fire Reds get redder? I have four fire reds and four rafflesias sharing a tank. They have been feeding them lots of Al's FDBW with bio red enhancer. Originally, the fire reds were more orange with a hint of yellow and the rafflesias were a very deep red. In these recent pictures the fire reds have gotten much more red and the rafflesias have continued to keep their original color. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.http://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w615/Rudustin/IMG_0926_zps614d2a73.jpg[/URLhttp://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w615/Rudustin/IMG_0921_zps3107db37.jpg[/URLhttp://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w615/Rudustin/IMG_0902_zps6d5e7f4f.jpg (http://s1332.photobucket.com/user/Rudustin/media/IMG_0926_zps614d2a73.jpg.html)

That female fire red is very red, but I think rafflesias is more deep red than fire red if we compare same size same water and feeding

PS: Fire red female is deep red than male

There is no doubt of that I am just asking the question about Al's food and if anyone noticed if their fire reds were more red with the feeding of the food. There is no doubt that rafflesias and san merahs are a deeper red.

I'll snap a photo of her in a little bit. It's hard to get a good picture of her because she's super friendly and curious = all close-ups. I call all my Stendker discus "stinkers" because they are spoiled rotten.

Please don't judge them by their pepper. The live in a fully planted community tank with BLACK substrate when they aren't paired up in breeders!

Very nice pics Rufus, I have to agree with skip on that one. With the two together there is no competition.
