I picked up a long fin albino bristle nose pleco at a llfs and I am now thinking it may have been labeled "bristle nose", but could be of the common variety ... there is a wide streak across my discus's body this morning.
I was told that it was a female because it doesn't have any obvious "bristles".
Anyways, I am going to take it out and put it in another tank that I have of congos nevertheless.
My question is should I treat him with medication of any sort just in case this injury becomes infected.
He ate this morning, do not notice any fin-clamping- but, he is less enthusiastic than normal in coming up to meet me at the front of the tank. Thanks, Amy

No worries Skip. I will move it later. I would move the Pleco as a precaution.

Thank you Pat... I definitely will move him. As you can tell I am new at posting and after commenting on your Discus I asked a question not realizing I was on your homestead... I will get this down soon- still a rookie:)

That is ok Tictok, one of my duties here is to move thread to the most appropriate place.
